Put Salt on Everything (almost)!!

I’m not talking about food, here (although I will mention something about that later in this post.)

I’ve recently discovered the power of cleansing my environment and objects in my home with salt.  I’m pretty gobsmacked by the results!

Salt, as the smallest crystal – yes crystal – on Earth, has the ability to absorb negative energy and transmute (break it down) and transform it into beneficial energy.

So, you might be rolling your eyes thinking that this sounds a little far-fetched or “woo-woo”, but stick with me.

Consider the ways that salt has been used since the beginning of time as evidence of it’s amazing ability to transform harmful things into non-issues.

For instance, salt is used to preserve meat and in the pickling process.  It was even used in mummification.

Why? Because not only does salt absorb moisture, it also inhibits dangerous micro-organisms and renders them useless.

If salt can do that to flesh and cucumbers, how could a person not believe that it can do that for their energy field?

Okay, so if that didn’t convince you yet, what about that old remedy.  You know, when you have a sore throat, you gargle in salt water – it draws out the infection and hallelujah, no more sore throat.  The infectious bacteria which was causing your sore throat is broken down and neutralized, inactivated.

Are you coming around yet?

Here are a few practices that I have taken up
  • Sprinkle salt in each of the corners of your rooms and leave it there for a day, or so.  Sweep or vacuum it up and dispose of it.
  • Place salt at your entranceways.  Either sprinkle it at the threshold, or place a clear glass bowl with salt in it near the door. Anyone entering your home will be discreetly salt-washed of any negative energies.  Dispose of and replace with new salt if you notice any funky energy cropping up in your environment.
  • Add salt to your laundry’s wash cycle.

It is best to set an intention for the salt, as you sprinkle/place it, as simple as saying something like

“I honor the benefit that this salt will provide by absorbing, transmuting and
removing any negative energy.
Thank you. So be it”
There are many sites and Youtube videos that provide rituals and process on how to use salt to cleanse your environment and belongings.

An important word or two about the type of salt.  Experts say not to use table salt for energy cleansing, because it is essentially deactivated of its wonderful abilities, due to the processing it goes through.

It is completely stripped of any and all benefits. Many energy practitioners and health professionals, consider table salt toxic.

(Note, you might want to stop using table salt, commonly known as that or Iodized Salt in/on your food, if you haven’t already caught on to riding that wave.)

Choose Sea Salt, Himalayan Salt or Celtic Salt. They are still alive with healing energy, unlike table salt.

Also, taking a salt bath is an extremely powerful way to cleanse your personal energy field, (let alone the healing benefits it provides for your flesh and bones.) Think about how good it feels to walk barefoot in the ocean.

One of my trusted resources, Melanie Blecker of www.ask-angels.com has a post on taking a sea salt bath.  Click here for a link to her recipe and ritual.

Just try salting and see what happens in your life!
